This paper summarized the experience of establishment and application of professional, individualized, and staged Ba Duan Jin exercise prescription in 48 obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by a multidisci-plinary team. During the preparatory stage,pre-exercise assessment and preparation before exercise were both well conducted. The knowledge of Ba Duan Jin and exercise prescription, and skill education were taught for the patients. Patients were guided to be familiar with the whole process of exercise and points for attention. The key parts of exercise prescription were exercise intensity and duration of exercise. During the implementation stage,we taught the patients to effectively and safely exercise. Exercise process was recorded and supervised. During the follow up stage,we provided direction and adjustment of exercise prescription for the patients. Totally 46 patients completed the whole process and all improved their exercise endurance and management ability. The duration of exercise increased from 16~28(20.23±2.87)minutes to 30~45(38.61±4.21)minutes. No serious complications were observed.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy among cancer patients, and to explore the predictors based on the theory of unpleasant symptoms. Methods A total of 254 can-cer patients recruited from one tertiary hospital by convenience sampling from July 2017 to July 2018 were assessed with questionnaires of Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy Assessment Tool(CIPNAT),Patient Health Ques-tionnaire-9(PHQ-9)and Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS). Results The prevalence of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy was 74.02%. Multiple linear regression showed that cancer stage, depression and social support could explain 53.4% of the total variation of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy among cancer patients. Conclusion The prevalence of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with cancer is on a high level. Nurses should pay attention to patients’ depression and social support, make nursing intervention plans for patients, and improve their quality of life.

Objective To explore the effects of teaching reform of Nursing Research among undergraduate nursing students. Methods The students of grade 2016 and 2015 were recruited and assigned to the experimental group(65) and the control group(56) respectively. Traditional teaching method for Nursing Research was used in the control group while the blended teaching and simulation research was used in the experimental group. Results The total score and scores of each dimension of research ability of students in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05). In the experimental group, average involvement of online learning and activities was 126 times per student. The items accepted by the students in the experimental group were "acquiring adequate knowledge(94.6%)”,“it is necessary to learn the curriculum(89.3%),” and “theory and practice can be closely integrated(85.7%)”. The items with low acceptance were“too much time involved(83.9%),”“little guidance(82.1%)”,and “poor platform utilization(82.1%)”. Conclusion The blended teaching together with simulation research are highly accepted by the students and it can cultivate the research ability of students.

Objective To investigate the current situation and its influencing factors of self-directed learning ability and hardiness personality for undergraduate nursing students in Lanzhou. Methods A total of 398 nursing students were investigated by using the Medical Students Self-learning Ability Scale and the Hardiness Scale. Results The motivation subscale score of self-directed learning ability was(104.12±13.38),the strategy subscale score of self-directed learning ability was (94.78±12.50),and the hardiness personality score was (79.77±11.67). There was a significant positive correlation between the self-directed learning ability and the hardiness personality (P<0.05). Conclusion The self-directed learning ability of undergraduate nursing students is poor, the hardiness personality was slightly higher than medium. It is suggested that nursing educators should pay attention to the for-mation of their hardiness personality and the improvement of their self-directed learning ability.

Objective To explore the effects of de-escalation thinking on emergency comprehensive ability of nursing undergraduates. Methods Twenty-eight nursing undergraduates of Grade 2014 who practiced in the Emer-gency Department of a tertiary hospital in Harbin were selected as the experimental group. De-escalation thinking training including de-escalation thinking, situation simulation, and emergency triage was used in the experimental group. Another 30 nursing undergraduates of Grade 2013 were selected as the control group and the traditional one-to-one teaching method was used in this group. After one month’s practice, theoretical and skill scores and the teaching effects were compared in both groups. Results The total score of nursing students in the experimental group was 94.18±1.50,which was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.001). The self-rated scoreof clinical first aid ability of nursing students in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.001). Conclusion The de-escalation thinking can improve the emergency knowledge and skills of nursing undergraduates, and improve their self-learning ability and clinical comprehensive emergency ability effectively.

Objective To translate the Acromegaly Quality of Life Questionnaire (AcroQoL) into Chinese, and to test its psychometric properties in Chinese patients. Methods The forward and backward translation were per-formed and the Chinese version of AcroQoL was finalized. An expert panel (n=5) was used to evaluate the content validity of the instrument. A total of 150 patients were recruited by convenience sampling to test the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of AcroQoL. Results The content validity index of the Chinese version of Acro-QoL was 0.93. Three factors, which were physical health, appearance issues and personal relations, were extracted by exploratory factor analysis and they could explain 64.02% of total variance.Cronbach’s α coefficient for the overall scale was 0.929 and the retest reliability was 0.850. Conclusion The Chinese version of the AcroQoL has good validity and reliability, and can be used objectively to evaluate the health related quality of life of patients with acromegaly.

Objective To explore how clinical nurses conduct reflective practice for providing reference for improvement of reflective ability. Methods The phenomenological methodology was used in the study. Semi-structured in-depth interviews was conducted on 16 clinical nurses. Data was analyzed by using content analysis. The NVivo 10.0 software was used to manage, dig and analysis textual data. Results Three themes were emerged from the data including conscious behavior guidance (self-review,others guidance, groups discussion),realistic situation stimula-tion(influential situation, challenging situation, uncertain situation),and emotional and moral touches(empathy,profes-sional values, ethical issues). Conclusion Inner and external environments of clinical nurses can trigger their reflection in clinical nursing practice. Nursing managers should carry out reflection activities and improve nurses’abilities of clinical reaction and decision-making.

Objective To investigate the knowledge, attitude, and exercise self-efficacy of pregnant women. Methods A total of 196 pregnant women were recruited in a hospital from January to February 2019 by convenience sam-pling. They were investigated with General Information Questionnaire, the Pregnancy Exercise Knowledge Scale, the Pregnancy Exercise Attitude Scale, the Pregnancy Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale. Results 98.5% pregnant women be-lieved exercise during pregnancy was necessary. The average score of their knowledge about exercise was (14.63±4.72). The score of exercise self-efficacy of pregnant women was (37.25±5.11). Only 27.6% pregnant women re-ceived regular training on exercise-related knowledge,91.3% believed the training was necessary, and 70.4% hoped they could learn through professional lectures. Conclusion Most pregnant women believe exercise during pregnancy is very necessary. Most of them are short of related knowledge and regular training.
