    This paper comprehensively introduced the construction and implementation of the Advanced Health Assessment for the master of nursing specialists(MNS) from the following six aspects:curriculum objectives,teaching philosophy,teaching design,teaching process,assessment and teaching effects. The report reflected our accumulated experience,and the process of reflection and constant adjustments. Now we has formed a multi-dimensional course that combines offline flipped classroom with online course by complementing various teaching methods such as case based teaching,group learning,scene simulation teaching and clinical practice,and attaches equal importance to formative assessment and summative assessment.

    Objective To construct evaluation index system of ability for new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric hospitals.Methods According to the conceptual framework of quality onion model,the evaluation index system were constructed through literature review,interviews and research group discussions. Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of consultation with 23 experts from 16 tertiary hospitals and 3 medical colleges.Results The final evaluation index system of ability for new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric hospitals included 5 first level indexes(clinical practice ability,teaching ability,professional development ability,critical thinking ability and personal comprehensive quality),16 second level indexes and 51 third level indexes. The recovery rates of two rounds of expert questionnaires were 92% and 100%. The authority coefficient of experts was 0.845,and the Kendall’s coefficients of experts in the second round of inquiry were 0.182 and 0.213 respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion The evaluation index system of ability for new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric hospitals is scientific and reasonable,and can provide reference for the training,selection,use,assessment and evaluation for the abilities of new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric departments.

    Objective To develop a teacher management index system for training of new nurses in Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals of Beijing. Methods Based on the theory of human resource management,through literature research and group discussion,we developed the draft teacher management index system for training of new nurses in Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals of Beijing. Twenty medical and nursing experts from various Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals and the university of Chinese medicine in Beijing were selected.Delphi method was adopted for expert consultations. Results The positive coefficients of the two rounds of expert consultations were both 100%. The Cr was 0.82 and the first-level indicators Kendall’sW was 0.58(P<0.01). The final teacher management indicator system included 5 first-level indicators and 18 second-level indicators.Conclusion The teacher management indicator system for training of new nurses in Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals is reliable and scientific,which can provide reference for the admission and management of clinical instructors.

    Objectives To explore the effects of the syllabus of general nursing knowledge among new nurses. Methods The syllabuses were made for five general nursing knowledge including intravenous access and maintenance,drug administration,pain management,skin management and diabetes patient’s management. A total of 128 new nurses in an affiliated hospital of a university medical school were recruited. These nurses learned these knowledge through online and offline method. New nurses’ knowledge,skills performance,and satisfaction were analyzed.Results All nurses completed the online session. The average scores of the written exam after online study for the above five knowledge were 54.5,59.7,55.6,59.9,and 66.7,respectively.The average score after classroom teaching were 68.4,84.0,77.7,82.7,and 94.7,respectively. All new nurses passed the skill tests and each of them choose at least one question pertinent to the topics for discussion. The course satisfaction were 91.5%,92.3%,93.4%,93.7%,and 94.1%. The overall rating for the practicability of the courses were 93.1%,93.5%,92.3%,93.5%,and 93.2%.Conclusion The syllabus of general nursing knowledge is useful to assist new nurses in online and offline learning and such a method is accepted by new nurses.

    Experiences of new nurses training:a meta-synthesis of qualitative studies

    Objective To systematically evaluate the qualitative research of training experiences of new nurses in China. Methods The databases including PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang and CBM were searched from inception to May 2020 to collect qualitative studies about standardized training experience of new nurses in China. The JBI Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies(2017 edition) was used to evaluate the quality of studies. Meta-synthesis was applied to integrate the findings. Results A total of 10 studies are included,containing 49 findings. Six categories were generated,and 2 synthesized results were obtained:new nurses benefited from clinical practice,but also felt physical and psychological fatigue;during the training,new nurses face multiple challenges and difficulties. Conclusion Nursing managers should pay attention to new nurses’ feelings and experience during training,constantly improve the training system,so as to achieve the training effects,and promote the continuous development of new nurses.

    Objective To explore and describe the current research situation and research focus of new nurses from 2010 to 2020. Methods The databases of PubMed and Web of Science were searched to retrieve the research papers on new nurses. With the aid of BICOMB 2.01 software,we used bibliometric method to explore the features of literature. Besides,we used co-word analysis,clustering analysis and citation analysis,to obtain high frequency keywords clustering figure and the most cited papers. Results In recent years,the studies on new nurses were increasing. Research focus included mentorship method,the psychological and social status of new nurses,the organization and management of training and competency assessment,and preceptor capacity building. Conclusion The studies on new nurses have attracted increasing attention and formed a number of research areas. Chinese nursing scholars can further organize and carry out relevant researches,and provide more support and help for new nurses.

    Objective To explore the effect of the flipped classroom based on small private online course(SPOC) in the teaching reform of nursing management course. Methods Nursing undergraduates from grade 2017 were recruited,there were 81 students in the intervention group and 67 students in the control group. Traditional teaching methods were used in the control group,flipped class teaching method based on the SPOC was used for teaching in the intervention group. At the end of the course,students’ academic performance was compared between the two groups. Besides, students’ classroom performance and learning experience were evaluated among students in the intervention group.Results The students’ attendance rate of the intervention group was 100%,the score of the exercises after the video was(4.12±1.21),the score of the pre-class quiz was(8.21±2.45). The case analysis score of the intervention group was(11.91±2.08),which was higher than the score of the control group(10.51±1.60). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(t=4.65,P<0.001). The final score of the intervention group was(70.30±5.81),compared with the control group(68.88±4.53),the difference was not statistically significant(t=1.63,P=0.09). Students of the intervention group believe the flipped class based on SPOC can develop the ability of autonomous learning,communication and teamwork,analysis and problem solving. Conclusion The flipped classroom based on SPOC can develop the ability of autonomous learning and the participation rate of students in the classroom,improve students’ ability to solve nursing management problems. students have a good learning experience.

    Virtual reality in nursing education:a meta-analysis

    Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of virtual reality on nursing education. Methods We performed a systematic search in PubMed、Embase、Web of Science、CINAHL、Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang,and VIP to collect RCT studies about effects of virtual reality on nursing education published from inception to Nov. 2020. The quality of the included studies were evaluated using the RCT quality assessment criteria provided in the Cochrane evaluation manual. Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 13.0. Results Nine studies were recruited with 638 participants. Meta-analysis showed that virtual reality could effectively improve the level of knowledge[SMD=0.51,95%CI(0.31,0.70),P<0.05],compared with other or traditional nursing teaching modes. However,there was no statistically significant difference between virtual reality and non-virtual reality group about practical skills [SMD=0.15,95%CI(-0.21,0.51),P=0.42] and satisfaction[SMD=0.01,95%CI(-0.81,0.82),P=0.99].Conclusion Compared with other or traditional teaching method,virtual reality can improve the knowledge of nursing students better. However,virtual reality has no obvious advantage in improving students practical skills and satisfaction level.

    Participation and performance analysis of Nursing Research in China University MOOC

    Objective To analyze the learning engagement and performance of students who were enrolled in Nursing Research in MOOC. Methods The participation and performance of students from March 2018 to July 2019 who were involved in Nursing Research on MOOC were analyzed. Results The number of registered students for the three phases of the Nursing Research was 20 064. The number of participants in the three phases were 954,298 and 1 185 respectively. The number of courses examination showed a linear decreasing trend(F=49.246,34.287,107.109,allP<0.001). The average number of posts was 0.72,0.30,and 0.20.Conclusion The level of online learning persistence of students registered for Nursing Research was not high,and it showed a downward trend. The level of online learning engagement and enthusiasm of students registered for the course was not high.

    With the rapid development of TCM industry,the demand for TCM nursing talents is increasing. This article introduced the innovation of culture idea,the clear training objectives,taking advantage of the Internet,highlighting the characteristics of TCM. Besides,we created a new TCM nursing personnel training system,set up “school-hospital-community-institution” training mode,to motivate students to learn at school,use in the hospital,extension to the community,service in institution. Such a system can meet the demands of social population and provide reference for nursing talents of traditional Chinese medicine.

    In this study,three class hours of practice teaching were arranged in the Nursing Psychology Course. According to the teaching contents,music therapy room,psychological consultation and sand table room,psychological evaluation and measurement room and group counseling room were set up. A total of 127 nursing undergraduates in two classes were divided into groups. These students took turns to enter each laboratory to complete basic psychology experiment(0.5 class hours),psychological measurement experiment(0.5 class hours),psychological counseling and treatment technology(1 class hour),and group counseling and training practice teaching(1 class hour). Students were required to do role-play as their homework. Besides,students were also required to submit a video in which students correctly applied psychometric techniques,psychological counseling techniques and psychotherapy techniques according to the cases they selected. Through nursing psychology practice,students basically know the use of nursing psychology scales,psychological consultation,and treatment techniques. In the future,we can try to increase clinical practice of nursing psychology to help students better connect theory with practice.

    Objective To evaluate the effects of midwives training from 2018 to 2020 in Henan Province. Methods The following practice and experience were introduced in this paper:training objectives,inclusion criteria,teacher selection,training contents,and assessment method. A total of 366 nurses were recruited and their examination performances(theoretical,skills,case assessment,and comprehensive quality) and satisfaction level were evaluated. Results The scores of theoretical examination,skills examination,case assessment and comprehensive quality assessment of nurses were 80 to 98. All nurses successfully completed the examination. The qualified rate of training was 100%,and the student satisfaction rate was 96.72%. Conclusion The midwives training in Henan Province is successful and our study provides new ideas and references for midwives training in other regions. However,the training contents,teaching methods,and instructor training in the process need to be further explored.

    The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Pediatric Nurse Parent Partnership Scale

    Objective To translate the Pediatric Nurse Parent Partnership Scale (PNPPS) into Chinese,and to evaluate its reliability and validity. Methods After obtaining the authorization of the author of the source scale,the PNPPS was translated,back-translated and cross-cultural adjusted according to the Brislin model to form a Chinese version. A total of 186 pediatric nurses and 188 parents of hospitalized children from three tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Qingdao were investigated to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale. Results The Cronbach’s α coefficients of the pediatric nurse version and the parent version of PNPPS were 0.961 and 0.964,the test-retest reliability was 0.971 and 0.932,and the content validity was 0.954 and 0.943,respectively. After exploratory factor analysis,both the pediatric nurse version and the parent version of PNPPS extracted 7 common factors,and the cumulative variance contribution rates were 72.10% and 73.51%,respectively.Conclusion The Chinese version of PNPPS has been proved to have good reliability and validity,and can be used to evaluate the partnership between pediatric nurses and parents of children in China.

    The mechanism of self-disclosure and marital intimacy in breast cancer patients in relation to their mental resilience and reproductive concerns after cancer

    Objective To explore the mechanism of self-disclosure and marital intimacy in breast cancer patients of childbearing age in relation to their mental resilience and reproductive concerns after cancer. Methods The general questionnaire,Chinese Version of the Reproductive Concerns After Cancer,and the Distress Disclosure Index and the 14-Item Resilience Scale were distributed to 201 breast cancer of childbearing age from November 2019 to August 2020 in two tertiary hospitals in Guangzhou. Model 4 and Model 14 in the SPSS 22.0 Process macro Model are respectively used to verify mediating effect and regulated mediating effect. Results Resilience,self-disclosure were negatively correlated with post-cancer reproductive concerns(r=-0.42,-0.44,all P<0.001). Resilience was positively correlated with self-disclosure(r=0.32,P<0.001). Self-disclosure played a partial mediating role in the effect of mental resilience on reproductive concerns after cancer(effect value was -0.09,95%CI:-0.14~-0.05),accounting for 23.21% of the total effect. Spousal intimacy played a moderating role in the relationship between self-disclosure and reproductive concerns after cancer(β=-0.14,P<0.05),the higher the level of intimate relationship between husband and wife,the greater the influence of self-disclosure on reproductive concerns after cancer.Conclusion Mental resilience of breast cancer patients of childbearing age and their intimate relationship can alleviate their worries about fertility after cancer,which can be used as a reference for the nursing of fertility after cancer.

    The acceptance of TCM nursing skills among middle-aged and older community residents

    Objective To investigate the acceptance of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) nursing skills by the middle-aged and older residents. Methods Based on the theoretical framework of Technology Acceptance Model,a questionnaire of TCM nursing skills acceptance was designed for middle-aged and older residents in the community. Convenience sampling was used to recruit eligible middle-aged and older residents to conduct the questionnaire survey.Results The average score of acceptance of TCM nursing skills of 541 respondents was(3.55±0.45). The score of worry dimension(2.98±0.60) was lowest. The score of perceived usefulness dimension(4.08±0.64) was highest. Participants with different age,education level,and residence had different acceptance score(P<0.05). Besides,the acceptance scores of participants receiving the TCM nursing skills or not were also different(P<0.05).Conclusion The recognition and acceptance of TCM nursing skills among middle-aged and older residents is good,but they have concerns and difficulties to use them. The community health center should actively improve the condition and provide convenient and high-quality TCM nursing services for their residents.

    Objective To explore the global research hotspots,research status and development trends in the field of pregnancy nursing in the past 10 years. Methods Through the Web of Science database,English literatures on nursing were retrieved during pregnancy during the period from January,2010 to September 2020. The data collected from the annual publication volume of the English literature,publication of countries,co-occurrence of author keywords,and co-citation analysis of the literature were visualized. Research hotspots were also analyzed. Results A total of 1 653 studies on nursing care during pregnancy were retrieved. In the field of pregnancy care,research focuses on pregnancy outcome,obesity during pregnancy,perinatal anxiety,adolescent pregnancy. Conclusion In the past ten years,pregnancy care is in a rapid development stage. Nurses should work out corresponding nursing strategies based on research hotspots to provide reference for improving the quality of nursing care of pregnant patients.

    The positive feelings and its influencing factors of family caregivers of patients with maintenance hemodialysis

    Objective To investigate the positive aspects of caregiving among family caregivers of maintenance hemodialysis(MHD) patients and the influencing factors. Methods A total of 237 MHD patients’ family caregivers were recruited by convenience sampling from the hemodialysis unit of two tertiary hospitals in Wuhan city. Questionnaires were general information questionnaire and Positive Aspects of Caregiving(PAC).Results The score of PAC among the family caregivers was(31.28±7.28),with a scoring rate of 69.52%. Multiple regression results showed that family caregiver’s gender,age,marital status,caregiving years and whether to have other chronic diseases were the main influencing factors of PAC(P<0.05),which explained 32.3% of the variance.Conclusion The PAC level of family caregivers of MHD patients was above medium level,which indicate that they experienced more positive experiences in the process of care. Medical staff could give targeted support and guidance with consideration of their influencing factors to further enhance their PAC.

    This paper clarified the different roles of family,community,school and telemedicine in the management of diabetes mellitus among adolescents,analyzed the existing problems,and put forward the future direction for the management of diabetes mellitus among adolescents. We aimed to help diabetic adolescent patients adjust to “normal life” in physiology,psychology,study and social life as soon as possible.

    This paper introduced the Fundamentals of Nursing in Bow Valley College in Canada,including its curriculum development,curriculum standard framework,contents and teaching characteristics.We summarized the implications of the course practices for teaching of Fundamentals of Nursing. We hope to provide references for training of nursing professionals and curriculum teaching reform in higher vocational colleges in China.
