Abstract:

Objective To construct evaluation index system of ability for new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric hospitals.Methods According to the conceptual framework of quality onion model,the evaluation index system were constructed through literature review,interviews and research group discussions. Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of consultation with 23 experts from 16 tertiary hospitals and 3 medical colleges.Results The final evaluation index system of ability for new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric hospitals included 5 first level indexes（clinical practice ability,teaching ability,professional development ability,critical thinking ability and personal comprehensive quality）,16 second level indexes and 51 third level indexes. The recovery rates of two rounds of expert questionnaires were 92% and 100%. The authority coefficient of experts was 0.845,and the Kendall’s coefficients of experts in the second round of inquiry were 0.182 and 0.213 respectively（P<0.05）.Conclusion The evaluation index system of ability for new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric hospitals is scientific and reasonable,and can provide reference for the training,selection,use,assessment and evaluation for the abilities of new nurses’ clinical instructors in pediatric departments.
