    The World Skills Competition is the highest level of the world vocational skills competition,and it is an important platform for displaying and communicating vocational skills among different personnel. The Health and Social Care is closely related to medicine and nursing,which help promote the development of healthcare services and the training of medical staff. This article provided an indepth introduction to the competition formats and contents,scoring standards and methods of Health and Social Care in the World Skills Competition. We proposed suggestions on the training of nursing technology,clinical thinking ability,and clinical teaching. Hopefully these suggestions can better promote the nursing talent training and clinical practice.

    The National Clinical Skills Competition for medical students has been held for 9 consecutive years. The competition covers a wide range and has a great influence on medical education. It shows the teaching achievements of various medical universities/colleges,and exposes the shortcomings of daily education. There are great similarities between nursing education and clinical education. This paper analyzed the types and characteristics of the competition items,and summarized the reasons the students failed the competition,so as to provide references for the development of nursing skills competition and the teaching reform nursing.

    The Second National Vocational College Midwifery Professional Skills Competition was analyzed including comparing the results of theoretical and skill competitions of higher vocational versus secondary vocational groups;and analyzing the data regarding the post-competition satisfaction,the recognition of teaching and learning. We discussed the positive effects the competition brought to instructors' personal development,students' professional development,and the development of the universities/colleges. Suggestions are proposed as follows:midwifery instructors should actively practice in the clinical settings in order to keep up with the new trend of vocational education reform and industry development;midwifery students should strengthen the autonomous learning ability and pay attention to the methods of improving learning effects;and colleges should actively promote the transformation of competition to ensure the promotion of students' core technical skills.

    This article introduced the program design of nursing competition for college students in Zhejiang Province,including the design principle,participants,contents and management of the competition. The implementation effects of the competition were discussed through the competitions and awards over the years,experience of participants,teaching quality of the instructors after the competition,resource construction,and teaching results. We aimed to provide suggestions for the continuous holding and further promotion of the competition.

    Objective To explore the teaching effects of blended gold course in the course of Fundamentals of Nursing. Methods The nursing undergraduates in Grade 2017(n=211) were recruited in the experimental group,and the blended teaching of gold course was adopted in this group. Teaching reforms were carried out from pre-teaching design,creation of teaching situations,mixed teaching activities,and course assessment and evaluation based on the“Gold Course” standard. Blending learning includes pre-class self-study,classroom interaction and after-class consolidation. The students in Grade 2016(n=238) were assigned to the control group and traditional teaching was used in this group. After the course,students' online learning completion of the experimental group was evaluated. Course scores,students' independent learning ability and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The times of platform login in the experimental group were over 100 000,and the completion rate of students' learning task was over 95%. The final exam score,total scores and scores for each dimension of self- learning ability,degree of teaching satisfaction of students in the experimental group were higher than those of students in the control group(P<0.01). 89.10% of the students were satisfied with the teaching. Conclusion The teaching mode of blended gold course has achieved good effects in the theoretical teaching of Fundamentals of Nursing. Teachers should perform the reform of hybrid teaching model according to gold course standard,and carry on the all-round curriculum construction during teaching process,so as to create a gold course with “high order,innovations and challenge”.

    Objective To establish the evaluation index system of the network teaching platform based on nursing cases database. Methods Two theories of usability evaluation and web-based learning environment usefulness evaluation framework were used as the theoretical framework. The evaluation index system of nursing cases database network teaching platform was initially formed by literature analysis. Through two rounds of expert consultation and analytic hierarchy process,the index system and weight were finally determined. Results The index system included 3 categories(platform usability,teaching utility and additional utility),11 subcategories and 39 items. The recovery rate of the two rounds of questionnaires was 100% and the authoritative coefficient was 0.85. The first round Kendall's W coordination coefficient was between 0.121 and 0.326,and the second round was between 0.210 and 0.326(P<0.05). Conclusion The index system is reasonable in design and the index weight are acceptable. The index system can be used as an evaluation tool for network teaching platform based on nursing cases database.

    To achieve the goal of "suspending classes with school opening" during COVID-19 pandemic,online teaching was implemented for 87 nursing undergraduates of grade 2017 in a university. The online teaching combined the national level excellent course of Community Health Nursing in the Chinese college massive open online course(MOOC) platform and the classroom teaching. In the 8-week teaching,the pass rate of the unit quiz was 98.4% and the pass rate of the unit assignment was 100%. Both the student participation rate in the online discussion forum and the attendance rate in the live class were 100%. The correct answer rate in the in-class test was 92.5%. The online teaching has acceptable effects on students performance. Our experience can provide a reference for medical schools to carry out online courses for nursing.

    Objective To explore the effects of Nursing Technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine for postgraduates. Methods The observational group consisted of 32 traditional Chinese medicine nursing masters of grade 2019. The cooperative education model of “campus,hospital,and community classroom” was adopted. The control group consisted of 30 students of grade 2018. The teaching model of “integration of theory and practice”. At the end of the program,the comprehensive scores and teaching evaluations of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of comprehensive performances of students in the observational group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05). The evaluation score students in the observational group gave was higher than that of the students in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The teaching model of “campus,hospital,and community classroom” adopted in the course of Nursing Technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine can help with the breadth and depth of the course,improvement of students' overall performance,and cultivation of critical thinking ability,scientific research ability,and teaching ability,and comprehensive ability.

    Objective To explore the effects of the Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion(PAD) class in Pharmacology for nursing undergraduates. Methods A total of 120 nursing undergraduates were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with 60 students in each group. In Chapter 3 of Pharmacology,students in the experimental group received PAD class. They were allowed to learn contents between two classes. In the following class,half of the time was used for group discussion.Students in the control group received the traditional teaching method and online teaching to enhance their participation.The scores of students' examination performance and self-learning ability were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences between the two groups(t=1.718,P=0.088) in the scores of online test,but there were significant differences(P<0.05) in the learning progress of online resources(t=2.511),class attendance(t=2.239),competitive answering(t=5.762),the number of teachers' thumbs up(t=2.102),and the total score(t=3.191). In the final examination,there were no significant difference in the scores of memorizations between the two groups(t=0.320,P=0.749),but there were significant differences(P<0.05) in the scores of comprehension items (t=3.760),application items (t=2.659) and the total(t=2.446).The score of self-learning ability of students in the experimental group(t=18.840)and scores of all dimensions were higher than those of students in the control group(P<0.001). Conclusion It is feasible and effective to apply PAD class in Pharmacology course,which is helpful to improve students' learning effects and self-learning ability.

    Objective To explore the effects of problem-originated clinical medical curriculum based on interactive tool applied in the course of Medical Nursing. Methods Students in two classes of grade 2017 were selected by convenience sampling and randomly divided into the experimental group and control group. Students in the control group received PBL teaching method,while students in the experimental group received problem-originated clinical medical curriculum based on micro-teaching platform. After the intervention,the examination performance,the self-directed learning ability,and the scores of questionnaire survey was compared between the two groups. Results The overall score of the examination performance in the experimental group was(80.43±6.17) and it is higher than that of students in the control group(73.22±5.77)(P<0.05). After the intervention,the self-directed learning ability scores in the experimental group was(243.24±29.67),while it was(229.63±28.80) in the control group(P<0.05). The learning satisfaction scores in experimental group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The problem-originated clinical medical curriculum based on microteaching platform applied in Medical Nursing can improve students' performance,self-directed learning ability and learning satisfaction.

    We took human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) as an example to implement the educational concept of moral education in professional courses. We explored and refined the moral education elements related to HIV for designing the specific program of "curriculum ideological and political". Through teaching,discussion,video,slides,group report,the second classroom,etc,we have been building a comprehensive education model. We should pay equal attention to "knowledge teaching" and "value leading" to cultivate nursing talents with ideals,dreams,and responsibilities.

    Mindfulness intervention on physical and mental health of nursing students:a systematic review

    Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness intervention on physical and mental health of nursing students. Methods We performed a systematic search in PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang and VIP to collect studies about effects of mindfulness intervention on the mental and physical health of nursing students published from inception to March 2020. Meta-analysis was performed after two independent reviewers conducted literature screening,data extraction,and literature quality evaluation. Results Seven studies were recruited with 387 cases. The results of meta-analysis showed that the stress score[SMD=-0.95,95%CI(-1.21,-0.68),P<0.001],anxiety score[SMD=-0.72,95%CI(-0.98,-0.46),P<0.001],depression score[SMD=-0.59, 95%CI(-1.00,-0.17),P=0.006] of mindfulness intervention group was significantly lower than the score of non-mindfulness group.The mindfulness score of mindfulness intervention group was significantly higher than the score of non-mindfulness group after the mindfulness intervention[SMD=0.39,95%CI(0.09,0.68),P=0.01]. However,there was no statistically significant difference between mindfulness and non-mindfulness group about systolic pressure[MD=-0.95,95%CI(-4.50,2.59),P=0.60],diastolic pressure[MD=2.13,95%CI(-2.60,6.86),P=0.38] and heart rate[MD=1.50,95%CI(-4.61,7.60),P=0.63]. onclusion Mindfulness intervention can improve the stress,anxiety,depression and mindfulness of nursing students.

    Objective To understand the current status and influencing factors of mindful agency of nursing undergraduates during distance teaching. Methods The general information questionnaire,the mindful agency scale,the online learning environment scale and the college students' hardiness scale were used to investigate 459 nursing undergraduates who had received online teaching for one week in a medical school. Results The total scores of mindful agency,online learning environment and hardiness of college nursing students were 70(65,76),71(66,81),and 67(56,78),respectively. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the online learning environment and hardiness entered the regression equation,explaining 39.70% of the total variation of mindful agency of nursing undergraduates. Conclusion The mindful agency of undergraduate nursing students is at a medium level. It is recommended that nursing educators should strengthen the construction of the network environment and the education of students' hardiness to promote mindful agency of nursing undergraduates.

    A comparative study on the professional commitment of nursing undergraduates with different admission forms

    Objective To understand the professional commitment level of undergraduates with different admission forms. Methods Totally 819 nursing undergraduates(587 admitted in summer term and 232 admitted in spring term respectively)were surveyed by the College Students' Professional Commitment Scale. Results The score of professional commitment of students enrolled in spring (98.13±11.86) was higher than that of students enrolled in summer(93.54±13.25)(P<0.001). There were significant differences in the reasons for enrollment and graduation intention between students enrolled in spring and in summer(P<0.05). Conclusion Students admitted in spring have a better level of professional commitment than those who are admitted in summer.Nursing educators and managers should take effective measures to improve the professional commitment level of nursing undergraduates to provide references for profession stabilization.

    Objective To explore undergraduates' experiences and perceptions of midwife's roles. Methods A total of 19 undergraduates majored in midwifery were interviewed and all the data were analyzed using Colaizzi 7 steps. Results Three themes were emerged from the data including “positive and negative role experience”“capacities and qualities required by the roles”,and “importance of clinical practice in changing the role perceptions”. Conclusion Undergraduates majored in midwifery have positive and negative role experiences towards midwives. Educators should focus on the clinical teaching of midwifery and the integration of professional education with ideological and political education and humanistic education. Measures should be taken to correctly guide students' role recognition to promote positive role experience and positive professional emotions.

    The influence of role-playing on the empathy ability of colostomy therapists

    Objective To explore the effects of role-playing on empathy of colostomy therapist. Methods A total of 44 students enrolled in Zhengzhou International Colostomy Therapist School from 2019 to 2020 were selected. After the teaching of relevant contents,the students carried out colostomy positioning and pocket pasting with each other,and during the period of wearing the pocket,the materials were replaced every 3 days for a total of 2 times. Before and after the training,students' empathy ability was measured using the Jefferson Scale of Empathy-Health professionals (JSE-HP). Results Students scored(123.64±11.35) on the JSE-HP before role-playing and the score was lower than that after the training(129.77±8.37)(P<0.05). Conclusion Role-playing practice can improve students' empathy ability,and it is worth popularizing and using in colostomy therapist training course.

    Objective To evaluate the accuracy of HEART score for predicting cardiac arrest in patients with chest pain in the emergency department. Methods We conducted a retrospective case-control study in a provincial emergency center from January 1,2017 to December 31,2019. The chest pain patients who experienced cardiac arrest were identified as the case group(n=71). Those who did not experienced cardiac arrest were treated as the control group(n=142). The predictive ability of HEART score and its indicators for prediction of cardiac arrest between the two groups were analyzed. Results The HEART score of the case group(7.52±1.61) was significantly higher than that of the control group(4.77±2.65)(P<0.001),and the area under the ROC curve was 0.81[95%CI(0.75~0.86),P<0.001]. With the increase of the HEART score,it showed a generally linear upward trend of the risk of cardiac arrest. The AUC of the five indicators of HEART score were:electrocardiograph(0.77),troponin(0.72),history(0.70),age(0.60),and risk factor(0.60). Conclusion HEART score performed well for predicting cardiac arrest in chest pain patients in the emergency department. We recommend that applying HEART score and establishing HEART pathway for hierarchical management of patients with chest pain.

    The mediating effects of job embeddedness and career identity on the relationship between perceived empowering leadership and career calling among nurses

    Objective To explore the mediating effects of job embeddedness and career identity on the relationship between perceived empowering leadership and career calling among nurses. Methods A survey was conducted among 285 nurses by using the perceived empowering leadership scale,the job embeddedness scale,the career identity scale,and the career calling scale. Results The score of nurses' perceived empowering leadership was(3.22±0.83). The scores of job embeddedness,career identity and career calling were(3.41±0.85),(2.91±0.82) and(3.15±0.82),respectively. Perceived empowering leadership,job embeddedness and career identity were proved to be significant predictors of career calling,which could explain 50% of total variance of career calling. Job embeddedness and career identity mediated the relationship between perceived empowering leadership and career calling respectively,and the effect size was 0.09 and 0.16. Perceived empowering leadership had a positive association with career calling through paths of job embeddedness via career identity and the effect size was 0.07. Conclusion Job embed-dedness and career identity mediate the relationship between perceived empowering leadership and career calling.

    As a management model,case management model can play an important role in standardizing hospital management,optimizing medical service processes and patient management,integrating community resources,managing diseases,and providing continuous nursing services. The model can contribute to the “win-win” situations among physicians,nurses,and patients. This paper elaborated the concept of case management,operating procedures,the effects of case management in chronic disease management,and the combination of clinical pathways and diagnosis-related groupings. Hopefully,we can provide references for the development of case management.
