Abstract:

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of the Integrating Ideological and Political Education into the Nurse Humanistic Cultivation course. Methods A total of 626 nursing undergraduates were enrolled，with the 2022 cohort（n=306） serving as the control group （traditional teaching） and the 2023 cohort（n=320） as the experimental group（“immersion-experience-reflection-practice” strategy）. Teaching outcomes were assessed through theoretical knowledge，practical performance，and value identity. Results The experimental group achieved significantly higher total course scores[84.0（81.0，86.0） vs. 83.0（80.0，85.5），P<0.05]，theoretical scores[85.0（82.0，86.0） vs. 83.0（80.0，86.0），P<0.05]，and practical performance scores[84.0（81.0，86.0） vs. 82.0（80.0，86.0），P<0.05] compared to the control group. The excellence-good rate of practice projects was 91.8%. Survey results showed that 90.3% of students found the integration of ideological elements was naturally integrated with professional knowledge，92.5% of students gave positive feedback on situational simulation teaching，and 89.6% of students considered project practice most helpful to their personal development. Conclusion The implementation of ideological-political education based on the “immersion-experience-reflection-practice” strategy effectively promotes the internalization and practice of humanistic qualities and value identity among nursing students，offering a referable model for ideological and political education in nursing humanities courses.
