Abstract:

Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) competence among Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) specialty nurse training program graduates. Methods A convenience sampling method was used to recruit nurses who had completed TCM specialty nurse training programs and obtained their certificates of completion in 2025. One month post-training,participants were surveyed using a general information questionnaire, the Evidence Informed Decision Making(EIDM) Competence Scale, and the Structural Empowerment Scale. Results A total of 211 valid responses were included. The mean EIDM competence score was 120.17±26.53. Multivariate linear regression showed that working years, frequency of literature reading, and level of structural empowerment were influencing factors for EIDM competence(adjusted R2=0.442,F=12.869,P<0.001). Conclusion The EIDM competence of TCM specialty nurse training program graduates is at a moderately high level, yet there remains room for improvement. Nursing managers should implement experience-based stratified training strategies, strengthen organizational empowerment and resource support, and encourage academic engagement among graduates,so as to systematically enhance their EIDM competence.
