Construction of evaluation index system for core competence of nurses sent in advance in public health emergencies

Abstract:

Objective To build a core competency evaluation index system for nurses sent in advance in public health emergencies. Methods The preliminary draft of core competency evaluation index system for nurses was developed. The Delphi technique was used to conduct two rounds of letter consultation with 26 experts with first-aid experience to determine the final index system. Results The recovery rate of the two rounds of expert letter questionnaire was 100%,and the coefficient of expert authority in the second round was 0.785. W value for first level index of the coordination coefficient was 0.594,W value for second-level indicators was 0.825,and W value for third-level indicators was 0.739. After two rounds of expert letter consultation,three first-level indicators including first-aid nursing skills,knowledge of infectious diseases,and emergency response ability,12 second-level indicators and 52 third-level indicators were finally determined. Conclusion The construction process of the core competency evaluation index system for nurses sent in advance in public health emergencies is scientific. The content is comprehensive,which can provide a basis for the emergency medical rescue team to screen the first batch of high-quality rescuers.
