Blended teaching model applied in the course of Nursing Management for undergraduate nursing students

Abstract:

Objective To explore the effects of blended teaching model applied in the course of Nursing Managementfor undergraduate nursing students.Methods Fifty-one senior undergraduate nursing students were recruited. The blended teaching model was adopted in the course of Nursing Management. Small private online courses were used for online teaching. Fliped classroom which included group debate,group competition,and scenario simulation was used for the offline teaching. At the end of the course,students’ evaluation of the teaching effects was analyzed through their experience diary.Results Five themes of students’ evaluation were extracted including promoting the close integration of knowledge and practice,improving students’ communication ability and teamwork ability,cultivating students’ learning consciousness and initiative,enhancing students’ critical thinking ability and creativity,and setting higher requirements for students’ learning autonomy.Conclusion Good results have been achieved through application of blended teaching in Nursing Management. Students’ autonomous learning ability should be paid attention to when online teaching.Personalized learning model should be added for the course platform.
