The application of an experiential teaching in the course of Nursing Ethics

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of a experiential teaching in the course of Nursing Ethics. Methods The teaching was carried out through the five parts of perception,experience,sharing and communication,integration and application in the experiential teaching model of Caret. A satisfaction questionnaire was used to investigate the satisfaction level of 107 nursing undergraduates to experiential teaching.Fifteen students were interviewed to understand their experience in joining in the experiential teaching. Results The overall evaluation score for teaching effect was(4.37±0.71). Interviewees accepted the experiential teaching well. They agreed that such a teaching could improve students' professional confidence and sense of responsibility,increase their learning enthusiasm and learning effects,and enhance their teamwork ability. Conclusion The application of experiential teaching in Nursing Ethics is helpful to cultivate students' comprehensive ability,which has been recognized by students.
