Abstract: Objective To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of ICU nurses’ knowledge and practice of acute skin failure, and to provide evidence for education and training. Methods From January 2023 to March 2023,280 ICU nurses from four tertiary Grade A hospitals in Shandong Province and Beijing were conveniently selected as the research subjects, and a self-designed questionnaire on ICU nurses’ knowledge, belief, and practice in acute skin failure nursing was used to investigated. Results A total of 272 valid questionnaires were collected. The score of knowledge dimension was(29.09±7.55),the score of attitude dimension was(37.65±5.89),and the score of behavior dimension was(34.62±8.77). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that wound specialist nurses, had received training in acute skin failure and had cared for patients with acute skin failure were independent influencing factors for ICU nurses’ knowledge and behavior of acute skin failure(P<0.05),and the education level was an influencing factor on nursing behavior of ICU nurses with acute skin failure. Conclusion ICU nurses had positive attitude toward acute skin failure, but their knowledge and behavior scores were low. Nursing managers should establish and improve the training system of acute skin failure according to nurse’ characteristics, strengthen relevant training, and improve their knowledge and practice level of acute skin failure,so as to improve the quality of acute skin failure care for ICU patients.
