Abstract:

Objective To explore the construction and application effects of massive open online course (MOOC) of basic theoretical knowledge training for new graduate nurses. Methods According to the Training Outline for Newly Recruited Nurses(Trial) and the training program for newly recruited nurses from 13 affiliated hospitals of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, combined with brain storming and Delphi method,13 experts were consulted for 2 rounds, and the MOOC training program was preliminarily formulated. Based on this,16 senior nursing experts from Shanghai Jiaotong University were invited to write MOOC scripts and video shooting to form the standardized basic training program for new graduate nurses ultimately. From June to September 2022,639 new graduate nurses from 16 second A and above hospitals in Shanghai were recruited to participate in MOOC teaching. After training, the learning data were evaluated through the online learning platform. Results The Kendall harmony coefficients of the two rounds were 0.331 and 0.254,respectively(both P<0.05). The basic theoretical knowledge training for new graduate nurses MOOC training program included training objectives(knowledge, attitude, skills),course form(online),course content(8 modules,16 chapters,61 contents),class hour allocation(21 class hours,13.5 hours) and assessment methods(16 chapter tests). After the implementation of the MOOC course, the results showed that the average time of new graduate nurses watching videos was 759.23 minutes, and the average number of 77 tasks was 142.13. Among them,65.73%(n=420) of the new graduate nurses completed the task point with a completion rate of 100%. Conclusion MOOC of basic theoretical knowledge training for new graduate nurses is scientific and reliable and well applied, which can assist hospitals at all levels to promote the standardized implementation of pre-service training for new graduate nurses.
