Abstract:

Objective To explore the effects of nurse-led management strategy of prevention and control of venous thromboembolism(VTE). Methods The patients who were admitted to our hospital were divided to the experimental group and the control group according to the admission date. Those admitted from January to June 2018 were assigned into the control group, and the conventional VTE management method was implemented. Patients admitted from January to June 2019 were assigned to the experimental group, and the nurse-led VTE prevention and control management strategy including risk assessment, hemorrhage risk assessment, and implementation of prevention strategy were adopted. The incidence of venous thromboembolism, the early diagnosis rate, the average length of stay and the average cost of hospitalization were compared between the two groups. Results After the implementation of nurse-led VTE prevention and control management strategy, the incidence of VTE,the early diagnosis rate, the average length of stay and the average cost of hospitalization were all ameliorated in the experimental group(P<0.001). Conclusion The construction and application of nurse-led VTE prevention and control management strategy can effectively reduce the incidence of VTE in hospitalized patients and improve the VTE specialized care.
