Abstract:

The comprehensive virtual reality simulation project entitled “prehospital emergency care and in-hospital intensive care of a patient with multiple injuries caused by a car accident” was designed. The project aimed to strengthen the clinical thinking ability of students and students are required to assess, analyze, and intervene based on the simulation scenario. The project included three modules of learning guidance, virtual training, and evaluation. There were five tasks including “pre-hospital first aid”,“aspiration rescue”,“post-operation pain assessment”,“analgesic monitoring”,and “central venous pressure monitoring”. The project was applied among 291 undergraduates who were going to start their clinical practice. The students logged in the platform to learn the related knowledge autonomously before class. They also practiced repeatedly after class and did the examination by themselves. Finally the training results were analyzed.
