Development of health science popularization works for rehabilitation of limb function in stroke patients

Abstract:

Objective To develop evidence-based health science popularization works for limb function rehabilitation of patients with stroke. Methods In this study,guided by the Guideline International Network(GIN) Patient guideline formulation manual and Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool(PEMAT),we conducted semi-structured interviews to clarify the health science themes. These themes were matched with relevant evidence-based evidence,and the relevant evidence recommendation items for each theme were refined. It is translated into language and other forms that patients can understand easily. Five representatives(doctor,nurse,patient,evidence-based methodology expert and science popularization editor) conducted an external review of the quality of these science popularization works. Results The science popularization works of limb function rehabilitation and health of stroke patients included 4 themes of functional limb position,posture transfer,standing training and acupoint massage,and 17 detailed items. The final external review rate was 94.4%~100%,and the coefficient of variation was 0~0.106. Conclusion The method of developing science popularization works on rehabilitation of stroke limb function is scientific and has been recognized by medical staff and patients. It can provide a methodological reference for the development of other science popularization works.
