With the nursing specialty entering a period of rapid development,the establishment of first-class courses has become a crucial tool for nursing schools nationwide to enhance the quality of undergraduate education. This paper reviews the overall construction of national first-class undergraduate courses in nursing,and a total of 108 nursing courses have been approved as national first-class undergraduate courses,which slightly exceeds the average level of first-level disciplines,and the development is characterized by regional differences,institutional differences,multiple evaluations of classic courses,and clustering of professional courses. And,guided by the principles of national first-class courses construction,this paper puts forward suggestions from the aspects of excavating the advantages of institutions,integrating multidisciplinary resources,optimizing curriculum design,promoting the digital transformation of curriculum,and strengthening policy and institutional guarantees,so as to provide reference for promoting the sustainable development of the nursing profession.
