Methods Convenience sampling was used to recruit 128 nursing students of grade 2021 from a university in Anhui Province. While the experimental group received nursing humanistic care teaching(creating situation-inspiring emotion-practice-generating inspiration),the control group received regular teaching. After the course, examination scores, scores on humanistic care ability and reflection diaries of the two groups of nursing students were compared to evaluate the teaching effect. Results Compared with the control group, the scores on humanistic care ability of the experimental group were statistically higher(t=7.853,P<0.001). A total of three themes were extracted from the reflection diary, namely understanding the connotation of humanistic care of nursing, strengthening the belief in practicing humanistic care of nursing, and improving the ability of independent learning.
