Abstract:

Objective To understand the mediating effect of self-regulated learning ability between psychological resilience and critical thinking ability of nursing undergraduates. Methods A total of 288 nursing undergraduates were recruited by convenience sampling and investigated by the nursing specialty self-regulated scale,California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version and the Resilience Scale of Adults. Results The scores of critical thinking ability,self-regulated learning ability and resilience were(231.89±29.03),(106.35±14.43) and (156.59±24.84) respectively. The total effect coefficient of critical thinking on resilience was 0.343. The indirect effect coefficient was 0.146 and 95%CI was 0.060~0.218. The direct effect coefficient was 0.197 and 95%CI was 0.163~0.230. Conclusion The critical thinking,self-regulated learning ability and resilience of nursing undergraduates were in the middle level. There is a mediating role of self-regulated learning ability between critical thinking and resilience. Teachers should optimize the blended curriculum, strengthen the clinical practice and interpersonal relationship to cultivate students’ critical thinking and improve the level of psychological resilience by influencing self-regulated learning ability.
