Abstract

Abstract: The nurse practitioner(NP)plays a very important role in the health service system in Canada. The practice of NP shows great advantages in the quality,safety,patient satisfaction and cost-effectiveness of primary care and chronic disease management. This article summarized the history,work contents,certification,training,and effectiveness of NP in Canada. Besides,we analyzed the contents that community nurses can learn from the practice of Canada in our country,which provided a reference for the training of NP in China.
