Abstract:

Objective To investigate the disease acceptance of patients with peritoneal dialysis，and to analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 156 patients from 4 peritoneal dialysis centers in Henan province were investigated with the Acceptance of Illness Scale（AIS）. Results The total score of acceptance of illness scale was（23.37±6.93）. Age，significant life events in recent half a year were the major influential factors（P<0.05），which explained 24.2% of the total variance. Conclusion Disease acceptance of patients with peritoneal dialysis is on the medium level. Health care provider should pay more attention to relevant factors such as age，    significant life events in recent half a year and develop tailored interventions to help these patients live with the best psychological status.
