Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of training of specialty nurses in nutrition. Methods Thirty-one specialty nurses in nutrition were selected and trained. Contents of the training included knowledge education and clinical practice. Assessments were conducted regularly to know the training effects. Results The mean score of clinical practice of all participants was （80.42±7.21） which was above the required score level of 70. The mean score of knowledge assessment was （42.48±6.47） and 28 of them passed the assessment. The mean score of daily assessment was （39.90±7.84） and 29 of them passed the assessment. Conclusion Training of specialty nurse in nutrition can firm their knowledge and improve clinical practice. Besides，it can promote nurses learn the related knowledge actively. Nurses can put what they have learned into practice.
