The effects of team-based case learning applied in undergraduate nursing students’ safety and occupational protective course

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effects of team-based case learning applied in undergraduate nursing
students’ safety and occupational protective course. Methods A total of 278 students of Grade 2016 were recruited.
Team-based case learning,through which students could learn the related knowledge and skills from the real cases.
Students’ knowledge of occupational protection were compared before and after the intervention.Results At the end of
course,the scores of knowledge of occupational protection were significantly higher than that of pre-course(P<0.05).
The course examination score was (89.41±0.78).The course study experience score was (83.30±13.62). Conclusion
The team-based case learning for undergraduate nursing students’ safety and occupational protective course can
improve their knowledge and ability of occupational protection.
