Abstract: Objective To explore the method of applying high fidelity simulation in Trauma Critical Care course and to evaluate the teaching effects of the high fidelity simulation. Methods Directed by the Jeffries simulation framework，a high fidelity simulation teaching plan was designed. The plan was implemented among 49 Year 3 nursing undergraduates for the course of Trauma Critical Care. The Chinese-version of Jeffries Simulation Design Scale was used to know students’ acceptance of the new teaching method. Results The students gave high evaluation of the teaching method. The percentage of students who agreed with or fully agreed with each item of the Chinese version of Jeffries Simulation Design Scale was above 92% . Conclusion The high fidelity simulation based on Jeffries simulation framework is feasible in teaching of Trauma Critical Care. The teaching effects have been well achieved by this new method.
