Abstract:

Objective To understand the current research status, hotspots, and development trends of “dual-qualified” teacher training in nursing. Methods Databases were searched to retrieve domestic and foreign literature on the training of “dual-qualified” teachers in nursing, including CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,China Biomedical Literature Database, and PubMed. The searching period was set from 2004 to 2023. CiteSpace 6.2.R6 software was used to analyze the number of publications, keyword frequencies, and keyword bursts. Results A total of 389 articles were included, with 128 published by domestic scholars and 261 by foreign scholars. The annual publication volume of research on the training of "dual-qualified" teachers in nursing at home and abroad showed an overall upward trend from 2004 to 2023. The research hotspots of “dual-qualified” teacher training in nursing at home and abroad were mainly focused on the core abilities of “dual-qualified” teachers, training systems and evaluation methods, training models (school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration),and policy support. Conclusion The research in the field of “dual-qualified” teacher training at home and abroad is in a stage of rapid development, with diversified research hotspots. In the future,Chinese scholars and administrators can establish differentiated, quantitative and qualitative combined evaluation criteria based on the sources, types, and levels of “dual-qualification” teachers in nursing. Additionally, educators should establish different certification standards for full-time and part-time teachers, and create an exit mechanism and a fair and diversified incentive mechanism for “dual-qualification” teachers in nursing. Still, efforts should be devoted to expand the coverage of the training system to include pre-employment education, induction training, etc, thereby improving the quality and effect of “dual-qualification” teacher training in nursing.
