Abstract:

Objective To identify the key components of exercise interventions for patients with multiple myeloma as reported in the literature, thereby providing a reference for developing standardized exercise programs for these patients. Methods Based on Arksey and O’Malley’s scoping review framework,we systematically in databases including CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,SinoMed,PubMed,Embase, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science. The search time was from database inception to July 4,2025,and two researchers screened and extracted data from the literature. Results A total of 18 articles were included. The content of exercise intervention for multiple myeloma patients included preparation before intervention, types of exercise, exercise venues, exercise time, frequency, intensity, intervention period, monitoring methods of exercise intensity, outcome indicators, and intervention effects. Conclusion Existing research protocols show significant heterogeneity in terms of exercise intervention types, intensity, frequency and duration, yet all demonstrate the positive effects of exercise interventions on patients. Future studies should formulate scientific, personalized exercise intervention programs for multiple myeloma patients based on their disease condition, physical fitness and physical status.
