Innovative exploration and practical application of ideological-political teaching in nursing major

Abstract:

To address the challenges of ideological and political education being disconnected from professional education,insufficient cross-course collaboration in ideological and political teaching,and outdated evaluation methods for assessing the effectiveness of ideological and political education,the Clinical Medical School of Tianjin University implemented a comprehensive nursing education reform through the following innovative approaches:establishing a “management-department-team” multi-dimensional collaborative mechanism;constructing a high-level curriculum objective framework centered on knowledge transfer,ability cultivation,and value shaping;creating a cross-course integrated case library covering admission assessment,specialized nursing,and health education;implementing a three-phase progressive teaching method consisting of online case preview,in-class group exploration,and clinical scenario simulation training;innovating dynamic competency assessment through hybridized ObjectiveStructured Clinical Examination(OSCE) and nursing skills competitions. These comprehensive reform have resulted in a well-integrated ideological and political teaching model in nursing courses,which covers the entire process of “theory,practice,and evaluation”. This holistic approach has achieved positive outcomes,with high recognition from students and peers both within the university.
