Abstract: Objective To explore the prevalence of innovative behaviours and whether creative self-efficacy played a mediating role among divergent-thinking,stress and innovative behaviours in nursing graduates. Methods We conveniently recruited 202 nursing graduates from 5 universities in Shandong province and surveyed them by questionnaires. Results The mean scores of nursing graduates' innovative behaviours,divergent-thinking attitudes, stress and creative self-efficacy were 3.49±0.56,111.98±9.19,25.83±5.49,and 4.63±0.86,respectively. The findings showed that creative self-efficacy mediated divergent-thinking attitudes and innovative behaviors and its effect coefficient was 0.199(95%CI:0.084~0.318). Meanwhile, creative self-efficacy mediated stress and innovative behaviours and its effect coefficient was -0.252(95%CI:-0.338~-0.170).Conclusion The innovative behaviours of nursing graduates are at a medium level. Nursing educators should develop interventions focused on improving divergent-thinking attitudes, relieving stress, boosting creative self-efficacy,to promote nursing graduates' innovative behaviours.
