Abstract:

Against the backdrop of the integrated Chinese-Western medicine collaborative strategy, the high-quality development of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) nursing has emerged as a pivotal pathway for innovation and inheritance in healthcare. From June 2023 to May 2025,Zhongda Hospital Southeast University systematically integrated TCM nursing with modern medical systems through measures such as establishing a Traditional Chinese Nursing Guidance Team, implementing tiered talent cultivation programs, advancing TCM nursing skills in stages, opening Traditional Chinese Nursing Clinics, setting up special funds for new TCM nursing technologies and projects, and building a Traditional Chinese information platform. After two years of practical reform, the number of TCM nursing professionals in the hospital increased from 15 to 364;TCM nursing projects expanded from 3 to 14,covering 49 departments of the hospital;the scope of symptom management extended from 4 to 25; and three “Internet + TCM Nursing Service” projects were launched, which effectively improves the utilization efficiency of medical resources, enhancing patient benefits, and providing a replicable optimization pathway for modern hospital management.
