Ten-year practice and exploration of “Nursing + English” dual degree program at a local university

Abstract:

With the development of “new medicine”,changes in health needs and progress in medical practice,deepening interdisciplinary integration and cultivating cross-disciplinary innovative undergraduate nursing talents have become an inevitable trend. The School of Nursing of the University of South China has actively responded to this trend by forming an interdisciplinary faculty team,creating a dual-degree curriculum system and a coordinated “dual-mentor” training system. Since undergraduate students of grade 2013,the “Nursing + English” double degree program has been implemented. This program has accumulated rich experience in the training of interdisciplinary talents,and provided valuable practical examples and references for promoting cross-disciplinary integration,as well as cultivating interdisciplinary nursing talents in the field of nursing advanced education in China.
