Abstract:  Objective  To evaluate the effect of intensive psychological nursing on the coping modes of patients with traumatic cerebral hemorrhage. Methods  Eighty-four patients with traumatic cerebral hemorrhage were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in the experimental group received routine care and intensive psychological nursing,and the patients in the control group received routine care. All patients were investigated by Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire at one week and three months after surgery. Results  At three months after surgery,the factor scores of coping modes in supportant,emotive,palliative,fatalistic,evasive and self-reliant decreased significantly in the experimental group(P<0.05); the factor scores in fatalistic and evasive decreased significantly in the control group(P<0.05); the factor scores in supportant,emotive,palliative,fatalistic,evasive and self-reliant in the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion  Intensive psychological nursing can improve the coping modes of patients with traumatic cerebral hemorrhage.
