Facilitators of interprofessional education from the perspectives of nursing teachers based on cooperative game theory:a qualitative study

Abstract:

Objective To explore the main facilitators of interprofessional education(IPE)from the perspectives of nursing teachers under the guidance of cooperative game theory. Methods Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 6 nursing educators. The interview mainly included the value and significance of IPE,facilitators and barriers in the implementation of IPE. Content analysis was used to analyze the data and extract the theme. Results According to the four basic areas of cooperative game theory,a total of 10 IPE facilitating factors were extracted. ①Common goals:cultivating students’ comprehensive ability,improving the quality of nursing and promoting the construction of medical environment.②Information sharing:the integration and application of information,the effective communication and conflict resolution between team members.③Equality and mutual benefits:the equality and mutual benefits among different groups and comprehensive development of the teaching team. ④Compulsory contract:the support from management and the establishment of the organizational structure for IPE. Conclusion The four facilitators are needed to promote the standardization and continuous improvement and development of IPE.
