Abstract:

Objective To investigate the effects of recovery action on community ability of new nurses. Methods A total of 109 new nurses in our hospital recruited in 2016 were selected and assigned to the experimental group. Recovery action was used to train the communication ability of nurses in the experimental group. Another 131 new nurses recruited in 2015 were selected and assigned to the control group. Traditional training method was used in the control group. One year after their recruitment, the adverse events of nurse-patient communication and the communication ability of new nurses were evaluated. Results The communication ability of nurses in the experimental group was better than that of the nurses in the control group(P<0.05);the adverse events in the experimental group were less than those in the control group. Conclusion Recovery action can help nurses identify their gaps of thinking areas and significantly improve their communication abilities.
