The application of video feedback teaching for nursing undergraduates in the hepatopancreatobiliary surgery department

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of video feedback teaching for nursing undergraduates in the hepatopancreatobiliary surgery department. Methods Eighty-three nursing undergraduates who practiced in the hepatopancreatobiliary surgery department from December 2016 to November 2017 were recruited in the control group. Another 88 nursing undergraduates from December 2017 to November 2018 were selected in the experimental group. The traditional teaching method was used for the control group while video feedback teaching method was used for the experimental group. Results The scores of skill examination,autonomous learning competencies,and satisfaction with clinical teaching of students in the experimental group were significantly better than these in the control group(P<0.05). However,no difference was detected in the theoretical scores between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Video feedback teaching method can enhance the skill ability and the autonomous learning competencies of nursing undergraduates. It can improve the clinical teaching quality in the hepatopancreatobiliary surgery department.
