The construction of “dual-qualified” faculty in higher vocational colleges of medicine and health

Abstract:

The construction of a “dual-qualified” faculty is an important foundation of professional development and a key force supporting the reform of education and teaching. Building a “dual-qualified” faculty is a fundamental work to accelerate the modernization of vocational education. Through literature review and based on the findings of previous study,this article analyzed the demand for teachers,technology and clinical thinking in cultivating medical and health professionals. The problems included imperfect “dual-qualified” faculty and insufficient training system and lacking of evaluation and incentive mechanisms. A path for the construction of a “dual-qualified” faculty is proposed which include deepening the collaboration between medical and educational institutions to set up a team building platform,constructing a systematic training system,and establishing a “dual-qualified” oriented evaluation and reward mechanism.
