Abstract:

Objective To explore the effect of "Internet+" Centering Pregnancy health care model in late pregnancy(remote group prenatal education model) on the psychological condition of primiparas during pregnancy and delivery outcomes. Methods A total of 120 primiparous women in late pregnancy who were regularly examined in the hospital’s fetal heart monitoring unit were randomly divided into the experimental group(n=60) and the control group(n=60). Both groups were given routine health education(medical and nursing education at each antenatal check-up,midwife outpatient health education,etc.). In addition to the routine care, the control group was given offline late pregnancy courses at the maternity school, while the experimental group was given the "Internet+" Centering Pregnancy health care model intervention, which focused on late pregnancy health care knowledge, coping with labor, professional guidance and postnatal care. In the end,59 cases in the experimental group and 57 cases in the contral group completed the intervention. Pregnancy Pressure Scale(PPS) and Childbirth Expectation Question-naire(CEQ) were employed to compare the difference between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results After the intervention, the score on PPS were 0.53(0.26,0.70) and 0.70(0.35,1.13) in the experimental and control groups, respectively, which difference got statistically significant(Z=2.233,P=0.026). The mean scores for the factors of spousal support and medical environment in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion The application of the "Internet+" Centering Pregnancy health care model in late pregnancy to provide distance education for primiparous mothers can reduce prenatal pregnancy stress of pregnant women and increase their expectation of a medical environment and spousal support for delivery. Such model is a beneficial supplement to offline health education.
