Abstract:

The team strategies and tools to enhance performance and patient safety (TeamSTEPPS) was used to guide the training. The training contents included setting up a training group and training the leadership of the group leader;revising operational tools and strengthening team cooperation;training theoretical knowledge and communication tools;and setting up simulated situations and conducting experiential group exercises. After the training, the skill assessment of the prone position team was carried out,and the training experience of the participants was investigated. At the same time, fifteen people were invited for an interview. Results The score was(61.16±1.47) for skill performance,(24.38±0.97) for team cooperation,and(85.68±1.95) for the total score. All the participants believed that multidisciplinary team cooperation was helpful to improve the efficiency of implementation of prone positioning ventilation therapy, and they thought such a training could improve the cohesion of the team. All interviewees held positive attitudes towards the team training for the skill of prone positioning ventilation therapy. Conclusion The multidisciplinary teamwork model is well applied in the training of ICU prone position ventilation treatment skills, and the trainees have a positive attitude towards this training.
