Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of structured health education for family members of patients with severe stroke. Methods From January to December 2018,family members of patients with severe cerebral apoplexy who met the inclusion criteria were selected from two neurological ICUs of a general hospital in Henan province. These family members were divided into the experimental group（41）and the control group（42）. In the experi-mental group,structured health education was used by nurses;while in the control group,routine health education was carried out. The satisfaction,knowledge level and migration stress levels of the family members of the two groups were compared. Results Satisfaction,knowledge acquisition and migration stress levels of the family members in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group（P<0.05）. Conclusion The application of structured health education in family members of patients with severe stroke is effective and can significantly improve the knowledge level and care skills of family members.
