Abstract:

Objective To understand the students’ feelings and experiences in the process of receiving nursing vocational education in a targeted poverty alleviation project. Methods By using the purposive sampling method,36 third-year secondary school students were recruited in a school-government-enterprise-society multi-body collaboration for targeted education poverty alleviation project class of Fujian Health College. One-to-one semi-structured interviews were conducted and content analysis was used to analyze the data. Results The feelings and experiences of students receiving nursing vocational education in a targeted poverty alleviation project were summarized into three themes:sense of security, psychological maturity(self-acceptance,caring for others, increased responsibility, clarity of goals, gratefulness),expectations and suggestions(policy continuity, strengthening enrollment management, strengthening psychological education, strengthening academic counseling). Conclusion The school-government-enterprise-society multi-body collaboration for targeted education poverty alleviation project provides students with a sense of security and promotes students’ psychological maturity. In the post-poverty period, the school-government-enterprise-society multi-body collaboration model can be continued to promote vocational education for poverty alleviation and promote rural economic and social development.
