The effects of safety training on safety culture of new nurses rotating in ICU

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of safety training on safety culture of new nurses rotating in ICU. Methods Safety training was conducted for 22 new nurses rotating in ICU from August 2017 to December 2018. Contents of the training included fire safety,patient safety,control of infection,staff safety,and safety management. Results After the training,the new nurses rotating in ICU had higher perceived safety culture level than that before the training. The satisfaction rate among the nurses was beyond 95%. Conclusion The safety training can effectively improve the perceived safety culture level of new nurses rotating in ICU.
