Abstract:

Objective To describe the level of acceptance of disability and exercise compliance in stroke outpatients and to explore the correlation of these two variables.    Methods One hundred and ninety-six stroke outpatients were selected and the Acceptance of Disability Scale and the Exercise Compliance Scale were used. Results The score of acceptance of disability was 76.18±14.11. The score of exercise compliance was 33.74±9.26. The score of acceptance of disability was positively correlated with that of exercise compliance （r=0.401，P<0.001）. Conclusion Stroke outpatients’ acceptance of disability and exercise compliance need to be improved.    Medical staff should pay attention to improving stroke outpatients’  acceptance of disability，improving their self-assessment for exercise effect and self-learning so as to promote their rehabilitation.
