Abstract:

Objective To construct a humanistic competence training program for nurses, thereby providing a reference for the implementation of humanistic nursing training. Methods Based on literature review, prior exploratory experience, and expert consultations,a preliminary draft of the humanistic competence training program was developed. A two-round Delphi method was employed to consult 24 experts in relevant fields. Results The valid response rate for two rounds of expert consultation was 100%. The authority coefficients of experts was 0.923 and 0.920,respectively. Kendall’s coefficients of concordance was 0.137(χ2=402.236,P<0.001) and 0.115(χ2=315.579,P<0.001),respectively. The finalized training program for nurses’ humanistic practice competence consisted of four first-level components(training objectives, training content, training methods, and training effects evaluation),16 second-level components, and 92 third-level components. Conclusion The constructed humanistic competence training program is scientific, reliable, and systematic. It can serve as a standardized reference for nurse humanistic competence training in China, addressing fragmentation and inconsistency in current training practices.
