Abstract:

Objective To explore the effects of group visits on self-care and disease control of patients with bronchial asthma. Methods A total of 121 patients with bronchial asthma from July 2017 to June 2018 were selected and randomly divided into the interventional group(n=61) and the control group(n=60). The patients in the interventional group received group visits including health education, group communication, problems solving, and individualized treatment. The patients in the control group received the routine care and telephone follow-up every 2 weeks after discharge. The self-care behavior and asthma control test of the two groups were compared before and three months after the intervention. Results The self-care behavior and asthma control level in the interventional group were better than those in the control group three months after the intervention(P<0.05). Conclusion Group visits can improve the self-care behavior and asthma control level in parents with bronchial asthma and it can be promoted in other departments.
