Abstract:

Objective To explore the current status of kinesiophobia in colorectal cancer patients with enterostomy and analyze its influencing factors. Methods From March to August 2025,a total of 328 colorectal cancer patients with enterostomy hospitalized in gastrointestinal surgery departments and attending stoma care clinics in three tertiary Grade A hospitals in Chongqing were selected as the participants. They were assessed using a general information questionnaire, the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia-11(TSK-11),the Numerical Rating Scale, the Cancer Fatigue Scale(CFS),and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Results The score of kinesiophobia in colorectal cancer patients with enterostomy was(22.03±6.99),with an incidence rate of 49.1%(161/328). Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that preoperative regular exercise, pain intensity, stoma complications,self-care ability of the stoma,cancer-related fatigue scores, and positive coping scores were influencing factors of kinesiophobia(P<0.05),explaining 55.7% of the variance in kinesiophobia levels. Conclusion The incidence of kinesiophobia is high in colorectal cancer patients with enterostomy. Nursing staff can develop targeted and efficient nursing measures by focusing on aspects such as standardized preoperative exercise guidance, pain management, prevention and intervention of stoma complications and cancer-related fatigue, cultivation of stoma self-care ability, and promotion of the development of positive coping styles,to reduce kinesiophobia, enhance patients’ motivation to exercise, and promote recovery.
