The construction of critical nursing training program for new nurses based on case base

Abstract:

Objective To construct a critical nursing training program for new nurses based on case base,and to provide reference for the training of core competence of critical nursing for new nurses. Methods Through case collection and compilation,case review and revision,and case code warehousing,a case library consisting of eight diseases and 38 critical cases was formed. On the basis of literature analysis,semi-structured interviews were conducted with newly admitted clinical nurses to design and develop the first draft of critical nursing training program. Two rounds of correspondence consultation were conducted with eight experts by group meeting to form the critical nursing training program for new nurses. Results The critical nursing training program for new nurses was finally developed,including training objectives,implementation strategies for training activities,training content and evaluation. The expert authority coefficient was 0.938,which suggested high credibility of the result. Conclusion The critical nursing training program of newly nurses based on case database is scientific and reliable,which can be used for the critical nursing training of new nurses in grade Ⅲ,class A hospitals. Besides,this training program still needs to be improved and evaluated through practice.
