Abstract:

Objective This study aimed to explore the effects of solution-focused training on role shift of new nurses. Methods A total of 95 new nurses recruited in 2018 were enrolled as the interventional group and solution-focused training was provided. Sixty-five new nurses in our hospital recruited in 2017 were enrolled as the control group and received routine training. One year after the clinical rotation, the role shift and core competence were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of transition shock in the interventional group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). The score of clinical nursing abilities of the new nurses in the interventional group was significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion Solution- focused training for new nurses can effectively help with the role shift and improve the clinical nursing core competence.
