Undergraduate nursing education in Macao Polytechnic University:practice and enlightenment for international professional accreditation

摘要:

护理本科专业认证是确保高等护理教育质量的关键手段,而国际化的专业认证也越来越受到国内教育界的重视。该文结合澳门理工大学护理学学士学位课程在英国高等教育质量保证局(Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education,QAA)及葡萄牙高等教育评估和认可局(Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior,A3ES)的国际专业认证经历,深入探讨了国际化专业认证在提升护理教育质量、增强专业竞争力、促进护理人才的国际流动性、激励院校自我发展与建设等方面的关键作用,以期为国内护理本科教育与国际接轨、实现教育国际化提供参考和借鉴。

Abstract:

Accreditation of undergraduate nursing programs is a key means to ensure the quality of higher nursing education,and the domestic education sector is also increasingly concerned about internationalized professional accreditation. This article combines the experience of the Bachelor of Nursing degree program of Macao Polytechnic University in receiving international professional accreditation from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education(QAA) in the United Kingdom and Portugal’s Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education(A3ES),explores the critical role of international accreditation in enhancing the quality of nursing education,increasing professional competitiveness,promoting the international mobility of nursing professionals,and encouraging institutional self-development and construction. The aim is to provide references and insights for aligning domestic nursing undergraduate education with international standards and achieving educational globalization.
