Abstract: Objective  To evaluate the effects of the defect situational teaching method in the course of Traditional Chinese Medicine（TCM） Nursing. Methods  Totally 158 undergraduate nursing students were divided into three groups. The traditional teaching method，situational teaching method and defect situational teaching method was applied in the course of TCM nursing，respectively. The students performance in the final test and evaluation on the teaching method were compared among the three groups. Results  The students performance in the final test，classroom atmosphere and students?蒺 satisfaction in the defect situational group were superior to the other two groups（P<0.01）. Conclusion  The defect situational teaching method is more advantageous to promote students to think actively，improve students ability of migration and integrated use of knowledge.
