Abstract:

Objective To retrieve, evaluate and integrate the relevant evidences on the cleaning quality management of phacoemulsification handles at home and abroad, so as to provide guidance for clinical practice. Methods A comprehensive literature searching was conducted in International Guidelines Network, American Guidelines Network, BMJ Best Practice, PubMed, Wanfang Databases, and CNKI, et al. Guidelines, expert consensus, systematic review and evidence summary were all eligible. The time limit was set from the date of databases’ establishment to February 15, 2023. Results A total of ten literatures were included, including four practical guidelines, four expert consensuses, one systematic review and one evidence summary. Besides, 38 pieces of evidences were extracted and integrated into nine dimensions, including management requirements, environmental requirements, equipment and consumables requirements, personnel requirements, operation requirements, on-site pretreatment, recycling and transfer, cleaning and cleaning quality evaluation. Conclusion This study summarizes the best evidence for the cleaning quality management of phacoemulsification handles in ophthalmology, provides evidence-based reference for standardizing the cleaning quality management of phacoemulsification handles, and can provide evidence for improving the cleaning quality level of ophthalmic instruments and preventing and controlling the occurrence of hospital infection.
