Abstract:

Objective To evaluate the quality of psychometric properties and methodological quality of the Chinese version of self-management assessment tools for patients with type 2 diabetes,so as to provide reference for medical staff to select appropriate tools. Methods We searched databases including CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,CBM,PubMed,Embase,Web of Science, the Cochrane Library,CINAHL to collect studies about assessment tools that measure type 2 diabetes patients’ self-management from the time of database establishment to March 28,2022. Two reviewers independently screened literatures, and extracted data of included studies. Consensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement Instruments(COSMIN) guideline was used to evaluate the quality of tools. Finally,we recommended the tools. Results A total of 12 studies were included, including 12 Chinese version self-management assessment tools for patients with type 2 diabetes. None of them reported the measurement error,cross-cultural validity or responsiveness. Finally, eight evaluation tools were recommended as Category B,and four evaluation tools were recommended as Category C. Conclusion Diabetes Self-Management Instrument Short Form’s methodological and measurement properties quality is appropriate, which can be recommended. Meanwhile more high-quality research is still needed to further verify other measurement attributes to support the conclusion.
