Methods Students who choose this course in the second semester of 2019-2020 were assigned to the experimental group(n=41) and the blended learning was implemented. Students who took this course in the first semester were in the control group(n=40) and received traditional teaching. The two groups were compared in academic performance, disaster rescue ability and self-learning ability. Besides, students’ evaluation in the experimental group on the course was investigated. Results The total score of students in the experimental group (85.27±4.04) was higher than that of the control group(83.10±4.14)(t=2.385,P=0.019). The scores of self-assessment and self-learning ability of disaster rescue ability in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Totally 34 students(82.9%) were satisfied with the overall effects of the course. Conclusion The application of blended learning in Disaster Nursing can fully mobilize students’ enthusiasm and learning autonomy, improve the teaching effect and satisfaction, and help students master disaster rescue skills.
