Objective To explore the effects of “1+1” helping model of Han-Tibetan in teaching of Fundamentals of Nursing. Methods Sixty-three Tibetan students who were enrolled in 2017 were selected and randomly divided into the experimental group（33 students）and the control group（30 students）. The experimental group received “1+1” helping model while the control group was treated with traditional teaching method. Final-term theoretical examinations and operational examinations scores were compared. Besides,questionnaire survey was conducted to know the students evaluation of the model. Results The scores of theoretical examinations and operational examinations in the experimental group were higher than these of the control groups（P<0.05）. Students in the experimental group highly appreciated the model. Conclusion The teaching effects of “1+1” helping model in teaching of Fundamentals of Nursing were positive. It can be a reference for the teaching of other courses in the Han-Tibetan classes.
